What are the Hamilton County drug court program rules?

If you find yourself with the opportunity to enter the Hamilton County drug court program, it is imperative to understand the rules as well as how you will be treated. As a participant in the program, you are required to follow all the rules at all times. Failure to do so could lead to removal from the program, resulting in additional legal issues

While all the rules of the Hamilton County drug court program are important, some of those that get the most attention include:

-- Total abstinence from the use of alcohol and drugs.

-- Tell the truth at all times. Anybody who is caught lying could be terminated from the program.

-- No threats at any time. You are not permitted to threaten other participants or staff.

-- Attend all court and treatment sessions as scheduled.

-- Submit to random drug testing. If a person refuses to be screened for drugs, it is considered a positive test.

Anybody entering the Hamilton County drug court program should fully understand these rules, including how they are enforced. It is also important to note that the rules and regulations of the program can change.

For some, taking part in this type of program is a good alternative to being sent to prison. While it is never easy to make it through a drug court program, it is often the best way for a person to get his or her life back on track. If charged with a drug crime, it is important to understand the legal system and the potential punishments.
